APPLICATION FOR CONSENT TO TRANSFER A CROWN LEASE

1. This form is to be used to apply for consent to transfer a Crown lease pursuant to section 36 of the Crown Land Management Act 2009. It is best completed via a desktop with a modern browser.

2. Submission of this form requires payment of $495.00 (GST exempt) by MasterCard or Visa (please note application fees may not be refundable). Other application form and payment options are available.

3. One application fee is payable if multiple leases are being transferred to the same transferee(s).

4. Please note that annual fees also apply for Crown land leases.

5. This form does not apply to pastoral leases managed under the Pastoral Land Management and Conservation Act 1989. Please refer to the Pastoral Unit.

6. Please contact DEWShacks@sa.gov.au regarding life tenure shack leases.

7. It is recommended that you contact the Crown Lands Program prior to submitting an application to transfer a perpetual lease. You may need to apply to freehold a perpetual lease to a fee simple title before it can be transferred or sold to another party.

8. It is highly recommended that you seek the assistance of a registered conveyancer or legal practitioner to complete your application.

9. On approval, a lease is an exclusive right to occupy the land.
